Our Vision: A healthy and just society.
Our Mission: To promote community development in different areas through innovation and practice.
Since 2015, the United Nations (UN) has released the 2030 UN sustainable development agenda calling for the strengthening engagement of the governments, businesses and civil society that promote sustainability. Strong and efficient engagement requires an international exchange based on solutions and practices. Inno Community Development Organisation (Inno), an issue-based Civil Society Organisation (CSO), is going global by developing social issue solutions with business partners toward the Goal 8 Decent Work in the supply chains. As a co-founder of sustainable supply chains and global citizen, Inno was committing to coordinate business forces and resources, jointly forging resilient and sustainable supply chains for labour-intensive worker rights protection since 14 years ago.
One of the most representative solutions is the Handshake Worker’s Hotline. This programme launched in 2007 which developed a non-judicial grievance mechanism, in labour-intensive factories for facilitating communication with workers, suppliers, and buyers equally with more than 2,400,000 beneficiaries, 1,040 factories (including overseas). During its 14 years’ development, it has become the non-judicial grievance mechanism with the largest scale over the Asia continent. In the past six years, Inno took responsibilities to promote Chinese good practices and models in supply chains to Southeast Asia on the ground to respond to the Belt and Road Initiative. The footprint covers 56 cities in 9 countries and 7 overseas offices were opened in India, Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia.
